Description

Golden, flaky puff pastry wrapped around bold and garlicky Turkish sucuk sausage, baked until crisp and juicy inside. These savory rolls are perfect for gatherings, snacks, or a comforting homemade treat.

  • 400 grams Turkish sucuk sausage, casing removed
  • 2 puff pastry sheets, about 500 grams total
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sucuk sausage with black pepper and paprika until evenly mixed.
  3. Place puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut each sheet in half lengthwise.
  4. Divide the sausage mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a log along one edge of each pastry strip.
  5. Roll the pastry tightly around the filling and seal the edge firmly. Place seam side down and slice each roll into smaller pieces.
  6. Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
