- 300 grams egg noodles, uncooked
- 2 cans tuna in water, about 160 grams each, drained well
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup frozen green peas
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius and grease a 9 by 13 inch baking dish.
- Cook egg noodles until al dente and drain.
- Melt butter in saucepan, stir in flour, cook 1 minute.
- Whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Stir in cheddar, salt, and pepper.
- Combine noodles, tuna, and peas in baking dish.
- Pour sauce over mixture and stir gently.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and bake 20 to 25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Do not overcook pasta before baking.
- Let casserole rest before serving.
- Add extra cheese on top for more golden color.
