Description

Juicy Salisbury steaks seared to golden perfection and smothered in a rich horseradish parmesan cream sauce. A hearty, comforting dinner that balances bold flavor with creamy indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Set a large skillet over medium heat and let it warm up.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Shape into oval patties.
  3. Add oil or butter to the skillet and melt it.
  4. Place patties in the skillet and sear for 4–5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. Melt butter in the same skillet and whisk in flour to make a roux. Slowly add beef broth, whisking constantly.
  6. Stir in cream, horseradish, and parmesan. Simmer until thickened.
  7. Return patties to skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Plate with mashed potatoes or side of choice, spoon sauce over, and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Use 80/20 beef for best juiciness.
  • Grate your own parmesan for better melting and taste.
  • Adjust horseradish to taste for desired heat.
