- 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup grated Gruyère or Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a muffin tin.
- Mix heavy cream, melted butter, garlic, thyme, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Stack thin potato slices vertically in each muffin cup, brushing lightly with cream mixture and sprinkling cheese between layers.
- Press stacks gently to compact.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden and tender.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before removing from tin.
- Serve warm.
