Description

Elegant potato gratin bundles made with thinly sliced Yukon Gold potatoes layered with cream, garlic, and cheese, baked until golden and tender.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère or Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Mix heavy cream, melted butter, garlic, thyme, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Stack thin potato slices vertically in each muffin cup, brushing lightly with cream mixture and sprinkling cheese between layers.
  4. Press stacks gently to compact.
  5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden and tender.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes before removing from tin.
  7. Serve warm.
