Description

A hearty fusion of two comfort food classics, Philly Cheesesteak Pizza combines juicy steak, sautéed peppers and onions, and melty provolone and mozzarella on a golden crust. Perfect for pizza night with a twist.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces beef steak (ribeye or sirloin), thinly sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
  2. Sauté beef in a skillet until just browned, then remove from pan.
  3. In the same skillet, cook onions, peppers, and garlic until softened. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and transfer to parchment paper. Brush edges with olive oil.
  5. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the dough. Top with beef and sautéed vegetables, then finish with remaining cheese.
  6. Slide pizza onto the preheated stone or baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  7. Let rest 2–3 minutes before slicing, then serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

  • Chill beef before slicing for thinner cuts.
  • Shred your own cheese for better melting and flavor.
  • Reheat leftovers in the oven to keep the crust crisp.
