- 1 large head cauliflower, sliced into 1 inch thick steaks
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium high heat, about 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Brush evenly over both sides of the cauliflower steaks.
- Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
- Place cauliflower steaks on the grill in a single layer.
- Grill for 5 to 6 minutes per side until tender and charred. During the last 2 minutes, sprinkle shredded cheddar over each steak and close the lid to melt.
- Remove from heat and top with sour cream, chopped green onions, and fresh parsley.
- Serve warm while cheese is melted and edges are slightly crisp.
Notes
- Cut thick cauliflower steaks to prevent breaking during grilling.
- Keep the grill lid closed while melting the cheese for even heat.
- For extra smoky flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika.
- Leftovers can be reheated in a 375 degrees Fahrenheit oven for about 8 minutes.
