- 2 cups water
- 2 black tea bags
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 tablespoon honey or sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Bring water to a gentle boil in a saucepan.
- Add black tea bags, cinnamon stick, ground ginger, and cloves. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat, stir in honey or sugar, strain, and let cool completely.
- In a small bowl combine heavy cream, milk, powdered sugar, and ground cardamom. Froth until thick and airy.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Pour cooled chai over ice.
- Top with cardamom cold foam.
- Serve immediately.
