- 4 large tomatoes
- 225 grams fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze, optional
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Slice tomatoes hasselback style without cutting through.
- Cut mozzarella into thin slices.
- Tuck mozzarella and basil between tomato slices.
- Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze.
- Season lightly with salt and pepper and serve.

- Use firm ripe tomatoes.
- Assemble just before serving.
