Description

A simple yet flavorful grilled avocado recipe with smoky char marks, enhanced with olive oil, lemon juice, and seasoning for a creamy and delicious dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe but firm avocados, halved and pitted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium heat, about 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice.
  3. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  4. Brush the cut sides of the avocado halves with the olive oil mixture.
  5. Place the avocados cut side down on the grill and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until grill marks appear and the avocado is slightly warmed.
  6. Remove from the grill and drizzle with any remaining lemon mixture if desired.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Choose avocados that are ripe but still firm to hold their shape on the grill.
  • Avoid overcooking, as the avocado can become too soft.
  • Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
  • Add toppings like salsa, fresh herbs, or chili flakes for extra flavor.
