Description

These easy garlic butter mushrooms are ready in just 15 minutes and packed with rich, savory flavor. Perfect as a side, on toast, or stirred into pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound mushrooms, cleaned and halved
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  2. Add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Let it melt.
  3. Add mushrooms in a single layer and let them sear undisturbed for 4–5 minutes.
  4. Flip the mushrooms to brown the other side.
  5. Reduce heat slightly and add garlic, salt, pepper, and remaining butter. Stir for 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat. Add chopped parsley and lemon juice if using. Stir well.
  7. Serve hot as a side or over toast, pasta, or rice.

Notes

  • Do not wash mushrooms under running water to avoid sogginess. Use a damp cloth instead.
  • Add garlic toward the end to prevent it from burning.
  • Use a hot pan and avoid overcrowding to achieve golden, crispy edges.
