- 6 slices thick cut sourdough or country bread
- 8 ounces lump crab meat, drained
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 12 asparagus spears, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Blanch asparagus for 2 to 3 minutes and cool in ice water. Drain and pat dry.
- Mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
- Fold in crab meat gently.
- Toast bread slices until golden and crisp.
- Spread crab mixture over toast and top with asparagus.
- Sprinkle with chives and serve immediately.
