- Red food coloring a few drops
- Green food coloring a few drops
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually mix in flour and baking powder until a soft dough forms.
- Divide dough. Tint portions red and green. Roll into rectangles and layer or roll together tightly to form a log.
- Wrap and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Slice into 1/4 inch rounds and place on baking sheet.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool completely before serving.
