- 1 pound ground chicken
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons grated onion
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 burger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1 small red onion, sliced
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, grated onion, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties and press the center slightly to keep them flat while cooking.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the patties for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove patties from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Lightly toast the burger buns in the same skillet.
- Assemble each burger with a lettuce leaf, cooked chicken patty, tomato slices, and red onion.
- Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- Do not overmix the chicken to keep the patties tender.
- Chill formed patties for 10 minutes before cooking to help them hold shape.
