Description

Thick, soft, and perfectly chewy chocolate chip cookies with golden edges and gooey chocolate centers. A classic homemade favorite that delivers rich flavor and irresistible texture in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in semi sweet chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  7. Scoop dough into balls about 2 tablespoons each and place on prepared baking sheets, spacing evenly.
  8. Press a few extra chocolate chips on top of each dough ball if desired.
  9. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are golden and centers appear slightly underbaked.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
