Description

Sweet, juicy cantaloupe and creamy mozzarella balls come together with fresh basil and a drizzle of balsamic glaze to create the perfect no-cook appetizer for warm days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 small cantaloupe, peeled and cubed or scooped into balls
  • 8 oz mini mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the cantaloupe into bite-sized cubes or scoop it into balls using a melon baller.
  2. Drain the mozzarella balls and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  3. On each skewer or toothpick, thread one cantaloupe cube, one folded basil leaf, and one mozzarella ball. Repeat if using longer skewers.
  4. Arrange the finished skewers on a serving tray.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.
  6. Sprinkle a pinch of salt if desired, and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm cantaloupe for easy skewering.
  • Keep all ingredients chilled before assembling.
  • Assemble up to 2 hours ahead but add the glaze just before serving.
