Description

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces (226 grams) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (120 grams) powdered sugar
  • 3 cups whipped topping, divided
  • 2 packages (3.9 ounces each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar until combined.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until set. Allow to cool completely.
  7. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled brownie layer.
  9. In another bowl, whisk instant chocolate pudding mix with cold milk until thickened.
  10. Spread the pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  11. Top with remaining 2 cups whipped topping and smooth evenly.
  12. Sprinkle chocolate shavings on top if desired.
  13. Chill for at least 3 hours before slicing and serving.
