Ingredients

Units Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup honey pecans, toasted
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Toast the Pecans: Gently toast the honey pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes until fragrant and slightly browned, stirring frequently to avoid burning. Set aside to cool.
  2. Prepare the Cheese Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and freshly grated parmesan cheese. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to whip together for 2 to 3 minutes until light, fluffy, and fully combined.
  3. Add Flavor Enhancers: Gradually mix in honey, fresh lemon juice, garlic powder, and freshly cracked black pepper. Continue whipping until all ingredients are smoothly incorporated, tasting and adjusting for your preferred sweet-savory balance.
  4. Fold in Toasted Pecans: Gently fold the cooled toasted honey pecans into the whipped mixture, reserving a few pecans to garnish the top of the dip.
  5. Chill and Serve: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Smooth the top and sprinkle the remaining pecans over it. Chill for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cheese for smoother whipping and better texture.
  • Freshly grate parmesan cheese for maximum flavor and moisture.
  • Toast nuts evenly by stirring frequently to prevent burning.
  • Add honey gradually to adjust sweetness to your preference.
  • Chilling the dip enhances flavor melding and makes it easier to serve.
