- For the Meat ‘Crusts’:
- 4 lbs ground beef
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for structure)
- For the Burger Layers:
- 2 lbs ground beef, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup chopped onion, sautéed
- Optional: sliced pickles, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes
- For the Cheese Layers:
- 16–24 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite melty burger cheese)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- For the Signature Burger Sauce:
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup yellow mustard
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons relish (optional)
- For the Pizza Topping Layer:
- 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 8–12 oz pepperoni slices
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat ‘Crusts’: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, mix ground beef, seasonings, eggs, and breadcrumbs (if using). Divide into two portions and press each into a greased pizza pan. Bake for 20–25 minutes. Drain grease and let cool slightly.
- Assemble First Pizza Layer: On one meat crust, layer half the cooked beef, onions, optional toppings, cheddar cheese, half the burger sauce, half the pizza sauce, half the mozzarella, and half the pepperoni.
- Repeat on Second Crust: Build the same layers on the second meat crust.
- Stack & Bake: Carefully stack one pizza layer on top of the other. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for another 20–30 minutes until cheese is melted and top is golden.
- Rest & Serve: Let sit for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
