Tuna Tostadas are a quick and delicious Mexican-inspired dish, featuring crispy tostada shells topped with a flavorful tuna salad, fresh veggies, and a tangy dressing.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 tostada shells
  • 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1/4 cup tomato, diced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Avocado slices for garnish
  • Hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine tuna, mayonnaise, lime juice, chili powder, garlic powder, and salt and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Stir in the red onion, cucumber, tomato, and cilantro.
  3. Spread the tuna mixture evenly onto each tostada shell.
  4. Top with slices of avocado and a drizzle of hot sauce, if desired.
  5. Serve immediately as a light lunch or snack.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add shredded lettuce or cabbage to the tostadas.
  • If you prefer a spicier version, use jalapeños or a spicy mayo sauce.
  • These tostadas can also be served as a part of a larger Mexican meal with beans or rice.
