Description

Crispy baguette slices topped with a creamy tuna mixture and melted cheddar cheese, this Tuna Melt Bruschetta blends Italian simplicity with American comfort. Perfect for appetizers, lunches, or quick weeknight meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium baguette, sliced into ½-inch pieces
  • 1 can (5 ounces) tuna, drained
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix tuna, mayonnaise, red onion, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Arrange baguette slices on the baking sheet and brush each with olive oil.
  4. Spoon the tuna mixture onto each slice, then top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use oil-packed tuna for richer flavor.
  • Toast bread before topping to keep it crispy.
  • Add chili flakes or Dijon mustard for an extra kick.
