Description

Tiramisu Truffles are a delightful no-bake dessert inspired by the classic Italian tiramisu, featuring rich coffee flavor, creamy mascarpone, and a dusting of cocoa powder in bite-sized form.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup ladyfinger cookies, finely crushed
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed ladyfingers, mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, coffee, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  2. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
  3. Once chilled, scoop and roll into small balls using your hands.
  4. Place the truffles on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 15 minutes to set.
  5. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave or over a double boiler until smooth.
  6. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate to coat, then return to the tray.
  7. Sprinkle cocoa powder over the top of each truffle before the coating sets.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, add a splash of coffee liqueur like Kahlua to the mixture.
  • You can substitute cream cheese for mascarpone in a pinch, though the flavor will slightly change.
  • Use dark chocolate for coating if you prefer a richer taste.
