- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 0.5 cup chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy, then mix in egg, vanilla, and red food coloring.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed, then fold in chocolate chips and chunks.
- Chill dough for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Scoop dough onto the tray, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Chilling the dough improves thickness and flavor.
- Do not overbake to keep centers soft.
