- 1 pound (450g) ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 cup (240ml) pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 package (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, and pizza sauce. Simmer for 3–5 minutes.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared casserole dish.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the beef mixture.
- Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella over the tater tots. Top with pepperoni slices, and optional olives, bell pepper, and red onion if using.
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the tots are crispy and golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
- Customize toppings just like a pizza—mushrooms, sausage, or jalapeños work great!
- Swap mozzarella for a pizza blend or provolone for extra flavor.
