Description
A light and creamy dessert layered with fresh strawberries, bananas, and a smooth vanilla cream filling. This Strawberry Banana Cream Dessert is easy to make, beautifully layered, and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- Fresh Strawberries: 2 cups, sliced
- Bananas: 2 medium, sliced
- Heavy Whipping Cream: 1 cup, whipped until soft peaks form
- Cream Cheese: 4 ounces, softened
- Powdered Sugar: 1/4 cup
- Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon
- Graham Cracker Crumbs (optional): 1/2 cup
Instructions
- Prepare the Cream: In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold it gently into the cream cheese mixture.
- Prepare the Fruits: Slice the strawberries and bananas. Pat them dry to remove excess moisture.
- Layer the Dessert: In glasses or a dish, start with a layer of cream mixture, add a layer of fruit, and repeat until filled. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs between layers if desired.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld and layers to set.
- Serve: Top with extra fruit and crumbs, then serve chilled.
Notes
- Use firm, ripe bananas to avoid a mushy texture.
- Add a few mint leaves or lemon zest for a refreshing twist.
- To keep bananas from browning, lightly coat slices with lemon juice.
- Best enjoyed within 2 days of preparation.
