Description

Golden, flaky puff pastry parcels filled with creamy tuna, melted mozzarella, and a gentle kick of chili, baked until perfectly crisp and irresistibly savory.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans tuna, about 160 grams each, drained well
  • 120 grams cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, about 100 grams
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 large egg, beaten


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, chili flakes, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mash and mix until smooth and evenly blended.
  3. Lightly flour a clean surface and unfold the thawed puff pastry sheets. Cut each sheet into four equal squares.
  4. Place a heaping tablespoon of filling in the center of each square. Fold into rectangles or triangles and press the edges firmly with a fork to seal.
  5. Arrange parcels on the prepared tray and brush the tops with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

  • Do not overfill the pastry to prevent leaks during baking.
  • Chill assembled parcels for 10 minutes before baking to help maintain their shape.
  • Reheat leftovers in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 8 minutes to restore crispness.
