Instructions
- Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork, leaving some texture. Stir in breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
- Add olive oil to the warm skillet and allow it to heat gently.
- Shape the mixture into 4 even patties and carefully place them into the skillet.
- Cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown and heated through.
- Lightly toast the burger buns if not already done and prepare the lettuce and tomato slices.
- Assemble each burger by placing a patty on a bun and topping with lettuce and tomato. Serve warm.

- Chill the formed patties for 15 minutes before cooking if the mixture feels soft.
