- 14 ounces extra firm tofu, pressed and cut into 1 inch cubes
- 3 cups broccoli florets, bite sized
- 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat.
- Whisk soy sauce, sesame oil, maple syrup, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and water in a bowl until smooth.
- Add tofu in a single layer and cook 8 to 10 minutes, turning until golden on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- Add broccoli to the skillet and sauté 4 to 5 minutes until tender crisp.
- Return tofu to the skillet, pour in sauce, and cook 2 to 3 minutes until thickened and evenly coated.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve warm.
Notes
- Press tofu at least 15 minutes for best texture.
- Use tamari for a gluten free option.
- Add chili flakes for heat if desired.
