A sweet, spicy, and garlicky chicken pita that’s quick to make and full of bold flavor. Juicy honey-glazed chicken wrapped in warm pita with crunchy lettuce, onions, and herbs for a perfect balance of texture and taste.

- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup shredded lettuce or cabbage
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Add chicken thighs and toss to coat. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle with a little oil.
- Cook chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Pour leftover marinade into the pan and let it thicken into a sticky glaze.
- Warm pita breads slightly on a dry pan or in the oven.
- Assemble the pita by layering lettuce, onions, and glazed chicken.
- Drizzle with a bit more honey if desired, garnish with herbs, and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra heat, add more chili flakes or a dash of sriracha.
- Use chicken breast for a leaner option.
- Leftover chicken works great in rice bowls or wraps.
- Add Greek yogurt sauce or garlic aioli for extra creaminess.
