Scale
- 1 (3 oz) box Jello (any flavor)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 egg whites
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- While the sugar mixture is heating, beat the egg whites with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
- Once the sugar mixture reaches a gentle boil, remove it from the heat and slowly pour it into the egg whites while continuing to beat on high speed. Add the Jello powder and vanilla extract, and continue beating until the mixture forms stiff peaks.
- Fold in the powdered sugar, nuts, and mini marshmallows if desired, mixing until fully combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto wax paper or a parchment-lined baking sheet to form individual pieces.
- Let the divinity cool and set at room temperature for several hours until firm.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
Notes
- You can experiment with different Jello flavors to create a variety of colors and flavors.
- If you prefer, omit the nuts and marshmallows for a simpler version of the candy.
