Description
Creamy, savory, and slightly smoky, Makin’ Magic Dip is a crowd-pleasing no-bake dip that comes together in minutes and shines with chips, veggies, or warm bread.
Ingredients
- Cream Cheese, 8 oz (softened to room temperature)
- Sour Cream, 1 cup
- Mayonnaise, 1/2 cup
- Cheddar Cheese, 1 cup (shredded)
- Green Onions, 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
- Garlic Powder, 1 teaspoon
- Smoked Paprika, 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt, 1/2 teaspoon
- Black Pepper, 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh Parsley, 2 tablespoons (chopped)
Instructions
- Soften the cream cheese by leaving it at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or microwave in 5-second bursts until just soft.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until completely smooth and creamy.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese, finely chopped green onions, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the bowl and fold until evenly combined.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Just before serving, fold in the chopped fresh parsley and give the dip a final stir to refresh the herbs and texture.
- Serve chilled with an assortment of dippers such as tortilla chips, toasted baguette rounds, cucumber slices, carrot sticks, or pita chips.
Notes
- For the smoothest texture, make sure the cream cheese is fully softened before mixing.
- Shred your own cheese for best melt and flavor, do not use pre-shredded if possible.
- Make ahead by preparing the dip a day in advance and chilling overnight for deeper flavor.
- If the dip seems too thick after chilling, stir in a tablespoon of sour cream to loosen it.
