Crispy Filipino lumpia filled with seasoned ground meat and vegetables, fried to golden perfection.

- 1 pound ground pork or chicken
- 1 medium carrot, finely grated
- 1 cup green cabbage, finely shredded
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 20 lumpia wrappers
- About 2 cups cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat cooking oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, carrot, cabbage, garlic, onion, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper.
- Lay one wrapper flat in a diamond shape.
- Place 2 tablespoons filling near the bottom corner and roll tightly, folding sides inward and sealing with water.
- Fry rolls in batches for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with dipping sauce.
Notes
- Do not overfill to prevent bursting.
- Maintain medium heat for even cooking.
- Freeze uncooked rolls for future use.
