- 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Mix until evenly combined but do not overmix.
- Scoop tablespoon sized portions and roll into small balls.
- Place sausage balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing slightly apart.
- Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, with an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove from oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing.
- Do not overcrowd the baking sheet to ensure even browning.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 to 7 minutes.
