Description

A hearty baked casserole made with seasoned ground beef, peppers, and onions layered over biscuit dough and finished with a creamy cheese topping, baked until bubbly and golden.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small jalapeño pepper, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and jalapeño until the beef is browned and the vegetables are tender.
  3. Season the beef mixture with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then remove from heat.
  4. Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish and press the biscuit dough evenly into the bottom.
  5. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough layer.
  6. In a bowl, mix the sour cream and mayonnaise until smooth, then spread over the beef layer.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  8. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until the top is bubbly and lightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
