Description

			- 1 ½ pounds Italian sausage links
 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
 - 1 large red bell pepper, thinly sliced
 - 1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
 - 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
 - ½ cup crushed tomatoes
 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
 - Salt and black pepper to taste
 - Fresh basil for garnish
 
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
 - Add sausage links and brown on all sides for about 5 to 6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
 - In the same pan, sauté sliced onions and peppers until soft and caramelized, about 8 minutes.
 - Add minced garlic, crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
 - Return sausages to the pan, cover, and simmer on low for 10 minutes until everything is tender and flavorful.
 - Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot in rolls, over pasta, or with crusty bread.
 
Notes
- For extra flavor, deglaze the pan with a splash of broth or balsamic vinegar.
 - Use a mix of red, green, and yellow peppers for color variety.
 - Let the dish rest a few minutes before serving so the flavors can meld.
