Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  2. In a medium saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk and cream until smooth.
  4. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring continuously, until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble.
