Description

Ingredients

  • 1 ball whole wheat pizza dough (about 12 oz)
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1/4 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats.
  2. In a bowl, toss cherry tomatoes, red onion, spinach, olives, and bell peppers with olive oil, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Roll out the whole wheat dough on a floured surface and place on parchment paper or a baking sheet.
  4. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Top with the seasoned vegetables.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Let it cool for 2 to 3 minutes, slice, and serve hot.
