Description

This Honey Glazed Steak recipe features tender strips of steak seared to perfection and coated in a sweet-savory honey soy glaze. It’s a quick and flavorful dish ideal for busy weeknights or impressing guests with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or flank), sliced into thin strips
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak strips dry with paper towels to enhance browning. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika if using.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Set aside.
  3. Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Allow it to heat up but not smoke.
  4. Place the steak strips in the pan in a single layer. Sear for 2 minutes undisturbed, then flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until browned and nearly cooked through.
  5. Lower heat to medium. Pour in the honey-soy mixture and toss to coat the steak strips. Cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the glaze thickens and caramelizes.
  6. Remove from heat once the steak is cooked to your preference. Serve immediately, spooning any extra glaze over the top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the steak in the honey-soy mixture for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Serve over rice, noodles, or a bed of steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce salt content if preferred.
