Description

A dazzling, no‐bake treat that glows under blacklight! These candy popcorn bombs combine crunchy, air‐popped popcorn with neon-infused melted chocolate and sprinkles, perfect for parties and fun, festive snacking.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 9 oz semisweet or dark chocolate chips (sugar-free optional)
  • 3 cups plain microwave popcorn (popped, with unpopped kernels removed)
  • 1/3 cup dry roasted peanuts, chopped (optional for extra crunch)
  • 34 drops Glow-in-the-Dark edible food coloring gel (adjust to desired neon intensity)
  • 1/2 cup neon candy sprinkles or neon-colored mini M&M’s

Instructions

  • In a double boiler or microwave, melt the chocolate chips, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the glow-in-the-dark food coloring gel until evenly mixed.
  • Gently fold in the popcorn (and peanuts if using) until thoroughly coated with the neon chocolate.
  • Using a spoon or cookie scoop, form clusters (bombs) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Immediately sprinkle neon candy sprinkles over the top of each cluster.
  • Refrigerate for about 15 minutes until set.
  • Enjoy these glowing treats under blacklight for a fun visual twist!

Notes

  • For an extra luminous effect, use a food coloring gel specifically designed to glow under UV light.
  • Ensure that all ingredients are gluten-free if needed; most popcorn and chocolate options are naturally gluten-free.
  • These treats are best enjoyed the same day; store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
