Description

Juicy garlic butter prawns tossed with silky glass noodles, fresh parsley, and a squeeze of lemon. This quick and flavorful seafood dish is rich, comforting, and perfect for an easy yet impressive meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 grams raw prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 200 grams glass noodles, soaked in warm water for 10 minutes and drained
  • 60 grams unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Place a large skillet over medium heat and warm for about 1 minute.
  2. In a bowl, toss the prawns with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Add olive oil and butter to the skillet. Once the butter melts, stir in the minced garlic and cook gently for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the seasoned prawns in a single layer and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet temporarily.
  5. Add the drained glass noodles to the same skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce for 3 to 4 minutes until tender and well coated.
  6. Return the prawns to the skillet and mix gently with the noodles.
  7. Stir in lemon juice and chopped parsley, adjust seasoning if needed, then serve warm.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the prawns to keep them tender and juicy.
  • Drain the noodles well to avoid watering down the sauce.
  • Add a splash of warm water if the noodles absorb too much sauce while reheating.
