Ingredients
Scale
- 500 grams raw prawns, peeled and deveined
- 200 grams glass noodles, soaked in warm water for 10 minutes and drained
- 60 grams unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
Instructions
- Place a large skillet over medium heat and warm for about 1 minute.
- In a bowl, toss the prawns with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Add olive oil and butter to the skillet. Once the butter melts, stir in the minced garlic and cook gently for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the seasoned prawns in a single layer and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet temporarily.
- Add the drained glass noodles to the same skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce for 3 to 4 minutes until tender and well coated.
- Return the prawns to the skillet and mix gently with the noodles.
- Stir in lemon juice and chopped parsley, adjust seasoning if needed, then serve warm.
Notes
- Do not overcook the prawns to keep them tender and juicy.
- Drain the noodles well to avoid watering down the sauce.
- Add a splash of warm water if the noodles absorb too much sauce while reheating.
