- 1 cup milk

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9 inch cake pan.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet mixture with the dry mixture, stirring until smooth.
- Slowly pour in the boiling water and mix until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and tap lightly to release air bubbles.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting or serving.
