Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place a rack in the center of the oven.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Spread the Brussels sprouts cut-side down in a single layer.
- Sprinkle the chopped, cooked bacon evenly over the Brussels sprouts.
- Roast for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- If desired, drizzle with balsamic vinegar or maple syrup before serving. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot.
Notes
- Dry Brussels sprouts thoroughly before roasting to achieve crispiness.
- Do not overcrowd the pan to avoid steaming.
- Use parchment paper for easy cleanup and no sticking.
- Finish with a sprinkle of fresh herbs for added brightness.
