Description

A crispy, golden, and flavorful side dish made with sweet potatoes and parmesan, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the sweet potato wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping the wedges halfway through, until they are golden and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
  5. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the hot sweet potatoes, allowing it to melt slightly.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can broil the sweet potatoes for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
  • If you prefer, you can use other types of cheese, such as cheddar or mozzarella, for a different flavor.
  • For a spicier kick, try adding a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
