Description
A chilled layered Filipino dessert made with creamy custard, whipped cream, crushed graham crackers, and colorful fruit cocktail, perfect for holidays and family gatherings.

- 2 cups fruit cocktail, well drained
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped to soft peaks
- 1 cup all purpose cream
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups graham crackers, crushed finely
- 1 cup peach slices and cherries, for topping
Instructions
- In a saucepan, whisk together milk, egg yolks, and cornstarch until smooth. Cook over medium heat while stirring constantly until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Allow the custard to cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, combine whipped heavy cream and all purpose cream gently until smooth and airy.
- Lightly grease an 8 by 8 inch glass dish.
- Spread a layer of crushed graham crackers at the bottom of the dish.
- Add a layer of custard mixture, followed by a layer of fruit cocktail.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with the cream mixture on top.
- Decorate with peach slices and cherries.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
- Make sure the fruit cocktail is thoroughly drained to avoid excess moisture.
- Chill overnight for cleaner slices and better flavor development.
- Use a sharp knife dipped in warm water for neat serving portions.
