This Savory Cabbage and Ground Beef Casserole is a rich, creamy, and comforting one-pan meal made with tender cabbage, seasoned beef, and melty cheddar cheese. Perfect for weeknight dinners, it’s hearty, keto-friendly, and full of flavor.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 small head Green Cabbage, chopped
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook for about 3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned and no longer pink, breaking it up with a spoon. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  5. Add chopped cabbage to the skillet. Stir and cook for 6–8 minutes until slightly softened.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and add shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until cheese is melted and everything is well combined into a creamy mixture.
  7. Transfer the beef and cabbage mixture to the greased casserole dish and spread evenly.
  8. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and golden brown on top.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or pork for the beef if desired.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the paprika.
  • This casserole reheats well and is great for meal prep.
