Description

Crawfish Fettuccine is a creamy and flavorful Southern dish made with tender crawfish tails, rich sauce, and perfectly cooked fettuccine pasta. It’s a comforting, indulgent meal that’s perfect for seafood lovers.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 300g fettuccine pasta
  • 250g crawfish tails (cooked and peeled)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add the crawfish tails to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes, until heated through.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Season the sauce with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir in the cooked fettuccine and toss to coat the pasta in the sauce.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • For added spice, you can adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • If crawfish is unavailable, shrimp can be used as a substitute.
  • Serve with garlic bread or a simple side salad for a complete meal.
