Description

Classic Bananas Foster is a warm, gooey dessert made with caramelized bananas in a buttery cinnamon-sugar sauce, served over cold vanilla ice cream. It’s fast, comforting, and unforgettable.


Ingredients

  • 2 large bananas, sliced lengthwise and halved
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream


Instructions

  1. Place a medium skillet over medium heat.
  2. Melt the butter, then stir in the brown sugar and cinnamon. Let it simmer into a smooth sauce.
  3. Add the banana slices to the bubbling sauce and cook for 2–3 minutes per side.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
  5. Scoop vanilla ice cream into bowls.
  6. Spoon the warm banana mixture and sauce over the ice cream and serve immediately.
