Description

Crispy, sweet, and spiced with cinnamon, these air fryer banana chips make the perfect quick snack or topping for breakfast and desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium bananas, firm and slightly underripe
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Light cooking oil spray
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, then set aside.
  3. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  4. Slice bananas into thin, even rounds. Lightly spray or brush with oil, then toss gently in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  5. Arrange banana slices in a single layer in the basket. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
  6. Once cooked, sprinkle with extra cinnamon sugar while warm.
  7. Let chips cool slightly before serving—they’ll crisp up even more as they rest.

Notes

  • Use firm bananas for best results; overripe ones become mushy.
  • If chips soften during storage, re-crisp them in the air fryer for 2 minutes.
  • Experiment with spices like nutmeg, pumpkin spice, or cardamom for variation.
