Description
Crispy, sweet, and spiced with cinnamon, these air fryer banana chips make the perfect quick snack or topping for breakfast and desserts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 medium bananas, firm and slightly underripe
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Light cooking oil spray
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, then set aside.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Slice bananas into thin, even rounds. Lightly spray or brush with oil, then toss gently in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Arrange banana slices in a single layer in the basket. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- Once cooked, sprinkle with extra cinnamon sugar while warm.
- Let chips cool slightly before serving—they’ll crisp up even more as they rest.
Notes
- Use firm bananas for best results; overripe ones become mushy.
- If chips soften during storage, re-crisp them in the air fryer for 2 minutes.
- Experiment with spices like nutmeg, pumpkin spice, or cardamom for variation.
