Description

Ingredients

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Warm the milk to about 110°F, then mix with yeast and sugar. Let rest for 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add eggs, melted butter, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually mix in flour until dough forms.
  3. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
  4. Roll dough to ½ inch thick and cut doughnuts using a cutter.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F. Fry doughnuts for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Melt chocolate chips and cream together, then stir in vanilla to make the glaze.
  7. Dip each doughnut into the glaze and let set before serving.
