Description

Crispy fries topped with tender chicken simmered in a creamy spiced tomato sauce, comfort food with bold flavor and irresistible texture.


Ingredients

  • 700 grams frozen fries
  • 500 grams boneless chicken thigh pieces
  • 120 grams plain yogurt
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 240 milliliters tomato puree
  • 120 milliliters heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the frozen fries package instructions and preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix yogurt, garlic, ginger, garam masala, paprika, cumin, and salt until combined. Add the chicken and coat evenly.
  3. Add vegetable oil to the skillet and heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until lightly browned on all sides.
  5. Stir in the tomato puree and let it simmer gently for several minutes.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
  7. Bake the fries until golden and crisp.
  8. Arrange the fries on a serving dish, spoon the chicken and sauce over the top, and finish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

  • Season fries immediately after baking so the salt sticks better.
  • Simmer the sauce gently to avoid splitting the cream.
