Description

Tender, juicy, and crispy chicken bites that are perfect as a snack, appetizer, or main dish, served with your favorite dipping sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk (for marinating)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (for coating)
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chicken pieces, buttermilk, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavor).
  2. In another bowl, combine flour and cornstarch.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off. Dredge in the flour-cornstarch mixture until fully coated.
  5. Fry chicken bites in batches for 4–5 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked. Do not overcrowd the pan.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauce of choice (ranch, honey mustard, BBQ, etc.).

Notes

  • For a healthier option, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, or air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes.
  • Double dredge the chicken for an extra crispy coating.
  • Add chili powder or cayenne for a spicy kick.
  • Perfect for meal prepping, lunchboxes, or party platters.
